In Alberta Ski the famed Big Three resorts in Banff National Park. This is great fun option for families!
There are also events and competitions all winter long across Western Canada so we encourage you to get involved and ask us about what fun you might be able to join in or watch while you are on vacation. A festival not to be missed is the Jasper Dark Sky Festival during the month of October. Jasper’s Dark Sky invites stargazing adventurers to get lost in the wonder of one of the world’s largest dark sky preserves. As daylight hours begin to recede, October is the ideal time to celebrate the skies with the annual Jasper Dark Sky Festival, an ever-growing celebration aimed at connecting all ages to our universe and beyond.
At all major Ski hills they have facilities where you can rent equipment at an additional charge. If you do not want to rent equipment and are going to bring you own that’s no problem either! Just let us know so we can set you up with accommodation that has a warm place to store it. If you are looking to do any off the beaten track activities let us know during the quoting stage and we can direct you to rental locations in town.
With snow and the holidays Western Canada truly feels magical. Join in on many of the holiday celebrations for something a little extra special on your trip. In Banff experience the Santa Claus Parade of lights or visit the Christmas market where the mountains come alive with holiday spirit unparalleled to anywhere else. Winter in Western Canada does drop below freezing and being on the mountain can be a little colder. We suggest packing plenty of layers, a heavy coast, warm hat, gloves and mittens. If you are planning on getting on the slopes remember to wear water resistant clothing as your top layer. Always bring sunglasses and sunscreen to provide protection from strong sunlight
Transportation is simple. We can set you up with a rental car which has winter tires or you can let us organize all the transfers for you.
