Wilderness and Aboriginal Explorer plus Cruise – Full Day Tour from Sydney
Sydney Outback’s Wilderness and Aboriginal Explorer offers nature, Aboriginal and coastal day tours to the Ku-ring-gai Chase National Park. Located just 45 minutes north from central Sydney, it is one of Australia’s most picturesque and diverse landscapes.
Learn about Australian colonial and Aboriginal history as you make your way to your first stop for the day, the world-class West Head Lookout where you can take in incredible views of the Tasman Sea, Lion Island, Pittwater, the historic sandstone lighthouse at Palm Beach, Broken Bay, and more.
The second stop is at one of Sydney’s most significant Aboriginal rock art sites with 15 images etched into the ground thousands of years ago. The Park is home to over 1,500 sites and this one of the most impressive of the collection.
Our third stop is Akuna Bay marina where we begin a 2.5-hour scenic cruise through pristine National Park waterways and admiring the Aussie bush landscape. During the cruise, you will enjoy interpretation at several ancient Aboriginal sites that are only accessible by water.
A number of historical, cultural and Indigenous presentations take place during the day. We use a 25 seat coach and 50ft power catamaran (64 passengers) for our tours and is available on a private charter basis. Inclusions are morning and afternoon tea, onboard lunch, coffee and beverages.
Departure days are Mon, Thurs, Fri and Sat subject to availability.
